Harry Redknapp is the 2017 King of the Jungle are wowing viewers on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The retired football manager, 71, won over fans with his down-to-earth behaviour, banter and many stories after three weeks living in the Australian jungle.
After he was crowned on last night’s live show, the Poplar-born star is tipped to become a regular on TV shows when he returns to the UK.
It’s hard to believe the show has been going for 16 years, with Declan Donnelly hosting since it first debuted in August 2002.
Dec is usually joined by presenting partner Ant McPartlin, who bowed out this year to focus on his sobriety following his drink driving conviction earlier this year, with Holly Willoughby taking his place.

Series 1 (2002)
Veteran radio DJ Tony Blackburn was the first ever King, beating the late Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.
The show only featured eight celebrity contestants and log-collecting Tony only took part in three bushtucker trials.

During his run, Tony ended up playing peacemaker during rows between Rhona Cameron and Nigel Benn, as well as Tara and Darren Day.

Series 2 (2003)
Former England cricketer Phil Tufnell was the next King after beating footballer John Fashanu and interior designer Linda Barker to the accolade.
The sportsman appeared on the show just a year after retiring from cricket and later admitted his new level of fame was "overwhelming".

He went on to become a seasoned pro on reality TV, having appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, The Chase and The Jump.
Series 3 (2004)
Arguably one of the most memorable series ever thanks to the on-screen romance between Katie Price and Peter Andre and Sex Pistols John Lydon, aka Johnny Rotten, quitting the show.
Kerry Katona was the series’ first Queen of the Jungle after winning over fans with her ‘journey’ after initially starting out scared of everything.

When she left the jungle, she went into the waiting arms of her first husband Brian McFadden, who she split from later that year after he fell for Delta Goodrem.
Katie and Peter went on to marry and have two children after falling in love in the jungle, before eventually divorcing.
Series 4 (2004)
I’m A Celebrity bosses were so thrilled with the success of series 3, they churned out a second series the same year.
Comedian Joe Pasquale was crowned King after beating former royal butler Paul Burrell and reality star Fran Cosgrave in the final.

Among the contestants were real-life husband and wife Vic Reeves and Nancy Sorrell and Janet Street-Porter.
All Saints singer Natalie Appleton clashed with Sophie Anderton and quit the show after getting sick of trials. She ended up needing an oxygen mask after panicking when she had to walk across a tightrope.

Carol Thatcher – journalist and daughter of late PM Margaret – won over fans in the 2005 series.
She narrowly beat soap favourites, Emmerdale’s Sheree Murphy and EastEnder’s Sid Owen to the Queen of the Jungle title.

Viewers were shocked to see Carol caught urinating next to her camp bed on infra-red cameras rather than going to the camp toilet.
Former Neighbours actress Kimberley Davies had to be airlifted to hospital with a suspected rib fracture after injuring herself during a bushtucker trial.
Series 6 (2006)
Busted pop star Matt Willis was the King of the Jungle after wowing viewers in one of the most popular series.
Although she was beaten to the top prize, runner-up Myleene Klass experienced a huge career resurgence after the show, largely down to her looking sensational in a white bikini.

One of the most memorable series ever, it also starred Jason Donovan, David Gest and Dean Gaffney – the latter proving particularly entertaining during the trials.
Series 7 (2007)
Panto legend Christopher Biggins won the seventh series after beating former supermodel Janice Dickinson and 5ive singer Jason ‘J’ Brown to the honour.

The series caused controversy due to EastEnders actor Marc Bannerman’s growing relationship with Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews, despite having a serious girlfriend in the outside world.
Marc was dumped by heartbroken partner Sarah Matravers and started dating Cerys, but the pair only lasted four months outside the jungle before splitting.
Series 8 (2008)
It’s been 10 years since EastEnders actor Joe Swash won I’m A Celebrity and he’s still associated with the show.
He’s presented ITV2 spin-off show Extra Camp for the last three years, as well as its predecessor I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Now!

Other memorable stars on Joe’s series included runners-up Martina Navratilova and George Takei, as well as David Van Day, Nicola McLean and Esther Rantzen.
Series 9 (2009)
TV chef Gino D’Acampo impressed viewers with his jungle spirit and cheeky sense of humour.
As well as his cooking career and being a regular on This Morning, he frequently pops up on a panel shows, such as Celebrity Juice.

However, he caused controversy after he and actor Stuart Manning killed and cooked a jungle rat to supplement meagre camp rations.
ITV were forced to apologised and fined £1,600 after they were accused of animal cruelty by New South Wales governors. Gino and Stuart escaped prosecution because they had been given permission to kill the rat by producers.
Series 10 (2010)
Little did she know, Stacey Solomon would end up falling in love with one of her King or Queen of the Jungle predecessors years later.
Having missed out on The X Factor title and her singing career not going as well as hoped, Stacey won over Brits with her down-to-earth, self-deprecating sense of humour.

The mother-of-two beat Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder and comedienne Jenny Eclair to the throne.
Another memorable contestant on Stacey’s series included nutritionist Gillian McKeith, who appeared to ‘faint’ during a bushtucker trial.
Series 11 (2011)
McFly bassist Dougie Poynter was a popular campmate from the beginning and loved his jungle experience.
He beat TOWIE star Mark Wright – who was trying to show Brits the ‘real Mark’ after being painted as a womaniser on TOWIE – and athlete Fatima Whitbread.

Eighties pop star Sinitta provided plenty of entertainment when she struggled to take part in the trials.
Series 12 (2012)
EastEnders star Charlie Brooks was crowned Queen of the Jungle after beating current Strictly star Ashley Roberts and David Haye.
Viewers were heartbroken when Charlie narrowly missed out on the chance to be reunited with her seven-year-old daughter Kiki, who was standing just feet away in one particularly cruel task.

Meanwhile, Corrie star Helen Flanagan left her campmates regularly starving after her dismal performances in bushtucker trials.
Series 13 (2013)
Westlife singer Kian Egan won over viewers with his Irish charm in the 2013 series.
The pop star managed to beat fashion designer David Emanuel and Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter to the King of the Jungle trophy.

Other memorable campmates included The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro, while Joey Essex got everyone talking with a will-they-won’t-they flirtation with beauty queen Amy Willerton.
Series 14 (2014)
This was another memorable series which had plenty of drama in the first few days.
TOWIE diva Gemma Collins walked after just two days, while Craig Charles was forced to bow out early after his brother Dean died of a heart attack back home in the UK.

Series 14 was eventually won by Superbike champ Carl ‘Foggy’ Fogarty , with X Factor contestant Jack Quickenden ending up in second place.
Jake went on to date Foggy’s daughter Danielle for three years, even moving in together, getting engaged and starring in a reality show together. However, they parted ways earlier this year.
Series 15 (2015)
Vicky Pattison shrugged off her Geordie Shore persona when she won the 15th series of the jungle show
She beat Union J singer George Shelley and TOWIE star Ferne McCann, who both went on to start presenting careers following their successes.

Lady Colin Campbell provided plenty of headlines with her quirky antics, while Spencer Matthews famously quit the show after two days after revealing a secret steroid addiction.
Series 16 (2016)
Scarlett Moffatt transformed herself from a ‘normal’ person watching TV on Gogglebox to a bonafide celebrity when she won I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The Durham lass is now a popular TV and radio presenter and co-hosts the I’m A Celeb spin-off Extra Camp.

Other memorable contestants in the mostly harmonious camp include Carol Vorderman, Jordan Banjo, Joel Dommett, Larry Lamb, Adam Thomas and Martin Roberts.
Series 17 (2017)
Posh Made In Chelsea star Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo was a surprise winner of the show due to her positive, sunny nature.
She beat Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas and presenter Iain Lee to the top prize.

The show was hit by controversy after Jamie, Amir Khan, Becky Vardy and Dennis Wise were accused of ‘bullying’ Iain, who had spoken publicly about his battle with depression.
Boxer Amir didn’t win over many fans after he let Iain take the blame for eating the strawberries reward for a dingo dollar challenge and wanted to lie to his campmates instead.
