Holly Willoughby and Declan Donnelly are more than entitled to celebrate a job well done.

After all, not only have the I’m A Celebrity hosts maintained standards during a potentially tricky series thanks to Ant McPartlin’s filming break.

But they’ve been able to smash records as the 18th show was officially confirmed as the most watched ever.

They headed out to dinner with their families to toast the achievement as they prepare to jet back to the UK.

The hosts had plenty to discuss – and to drink to – after the 2018 series was confirmed as having the highest ratings in the show’s history. An average of 9.1m a night tuned in.

An impressive 12.1million viewers turned on to watch Harry Redknapp crowned King of the Jungle on Sunday night. It was the highest peak audience of the series.

This year’s finale saw an increase of 1.7m on last year’s. It was the highest rated final since 2013.

Phillip Schofield has confirmed Holly won’t be returning to This Morning until 2019.

Singer Rochelle Humes has taken over since the 37-year-old headed for the Jungle but they aren’t to be reunited until the New Year.
