‘Mr Big’ Chris Noth admits he based his Doctor Who villain on Donald Trump

He played a scheming hotel magnate with political aspirations – just where did Chris Noth find the inspiration for his Doctor Who villain?

The actor, right – Mr Big in Sex and the City – admits he “loosely” based the BBC show’s evil Jack Robertson on US President Donald Trump.

Chris, 64, says: “I played a character based loosely on him. It was actually the idea of Trump without being Trump.”

The US star, who also played a slick politician in The Good Wife, adds: “I’m worried about our country under his reign. Hopefully the Democratic Congress will regain our sanity.”

Chris, who is considering moving to the UK, hints the baddie might even return to the series, saying : “I may come back and do another episode. It was just marvellous. I loved all the actors and Jodie [Whittaker] was fantastic. I couldn’t have admired them more. They’re hard workers, it’s a fun show.”
