Game of Thrones has not been lucky in the past with leaks – seasons 5, 6 and 7 were particularly unlucky with episodes leaking ahead of their transmission date.
Now Beric Dondarrion actor Richard Dormer has suggested that the leaks have not only been deliberate but may have strengthened the show.
Speaking to Sky News, Dormer said "It gets people talking. Sometimes I suppose they even leak stuff on purpose. I don’t know but it’s all good for the show."
Regardless he says they "want fans to see it on screen and go, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe it’", despite on the whole the leaks being "good for the show".
Dormer’s character in the fantasy series was last seen on the Wall with wildling Tormund Giantsbane as the Night King and his army destroyed part of it and marched through into the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.
On what’s next for his resurrected character, he refused to give an answer, saying "they would kill me".
Dondarrion’s chief companion, Thoros of Myr, had resurrected Dondarrion multiple times, but he was killed off last season, meaning Beric is unlikely to have second chances.
Beric will likely remained aligned with King Jon Snow in the final season, but will he meet his maker in the final battle for Westeros’ survival?
Jon, meanwhile, has bent his knee to Daenerys – which won’t go down well with everyone back at Winterfell. We are sure they’ll be even happier when they realise that the bastard son of Ned Stark is actually a Targaryen after all!
