It’s been a while since season 4 of Peaky Blinders aired at the end of 2017, and fans are chomping at the bit for more episodes!
The last season saw the war between the Shelby clan and Italian mobster Luca Changretta (Adrien Brody) come to an explosive conclusion, that also saw major casualties on both sides, and a final beach side confrontation between Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and Alfie Solomon (Tom Hardy).

So when exactly can we expect the new episodes?
And who will be returning for them?

Peaky Blinders season 5 plot
Tommy Shelby in season 5
We don’t know a huge amount about the plot for the new series, apart from the fact that it will explore the financial crisis of 1929, along with Tommy’s new role as the MP for Birmingham South and how he navigates the political sphere, specifically his relationship with Sam Claflin’s character.
Inevitably, these new political connections will have a big effect on the Shelby family as a whole.
How the other new cast members fit in with the series are yet to be seen.
