Christmas Number One 2018: Latest odds on Ariana Grande, Dalton Harris and Elton John

The announcement of the UK Christmas number one has been a staple event in the festive calendar for over 60 years and is usually a milestone in a singer’s career.

Some manage to land their first Christmas number one with their debut single as previous X Factor winners including Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke have done, although a winner from the ITV talent show hasn’t won the spot for the past three years.

This year, odds were initially on Elton John’s Your Song to steal the spot after the heartwarming John Lewis advert , but when Ariana Grande released Thank U, Next and Dalton Harris sang Power Of Love with James Arthur in the X Factor final, they completely changed the game.
