Simon Cowell has revealed that he thought Cheryl DIED during her controversial X Factor performance.
The music mogul said he was concerned when the Geordie star collapsed on the floor when her song Love Made Me Do It came to a close.
Cheryl’s much-dicussed performance on the ITV show has divided fans, with some panning it and some praising it.
Simon was seen pointing towards Cheryl with a slightly confused look on his face when her song finished.
And speaking on This Morning earlier today, he revealed what he was thinking.
He said: "Well I thought she was dead at the end, actually.

"I remember her laying there and I said to Louis [Tomlinson], ‘I think she’s dead’. And then she stood up, so I was laughing afterwards."
Cheryl’s performance was so controversial that more than 100 people complained to broadcasting watchdog Ofcom.
The singer’s dance routine was accused of being too sexual for a family show, prompting Cheryl to uncharacteristically speak out and defend her performance.
"I did watch my performance back and I LOVED IT!" she tweeted as she took aim at "unbalanced negativity".
And appearing on The Graham Norton Show she was all smiles as she dazzled in a see-through red jumpsuit and sang Love Made Me Do It for the pre-recorded show.
Cheryl faced some more backlash recently, when she was accused of exhibiting diva behaviour backstage at the Hits Radio Live gig in Manchester last Sunday.
Simon admits he thought she’d died
Despite posing up backstage for fun pictures with Little Mix and Mabel, it was said that she’d made a string of diva demands.
A source had told The Sun :"Cheryl did a great job on her Instagram profile of making it look like she was the most accessible A-lister ever, posting pictures with Mabel and showing videos of her goofing about dancing in her dressing room.
"But the reality could not have been more different. Cheryl had everyone clear her dressing room and the corridors and surrounding areas whenever she was near.
"She only posed with Mabel, who is a singer like herself, for a photo while that was happening."

The source also claimed that Cheryl did very little press, except for the photocall and a quick chat with Hits Radio, who were hosting the event.
However, representatives for Cheryl have furiously hit back at the claims, saying that couldn’t be further from the truth.
The star’s reps told Mirror Online: "This story is completely inaccurate and isn’t true."
