Tom Hiddleston needs little introduction after he hit stardom a few years ago, not least for his turn as trickster god Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and for his suave role in espionage BBC drama The Night Manager.
Now the English thespian is returning to the world of theatre once more, as the theatre world celebrates the work of esteemed playwright Harold Pinter .
Hiddleston will be starring in Pinter’s classic play Betrayal at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London’s West End from March 5 to June 1, 2019. Tickets are available from ATG Tickets here – grabs yours quick.
The play examines themes of romance, identity, lust, and, of course, betrayal.
Structured with each act occurring in reverse chronological order, we see how a seven year love story got to its dramatic conclusion by working our way backwards to the glorious start of love.
Hailed as one of the best plays from Pinter, we can understand if you would be eager to see Hiddleston take a role in this revival of the drama that originally debuted in 1978 with Penelope Wilton and Michael Gambon.
Tom was previously seen in dramatic versions of William Shakespeare plays Hamlet and Coriolanus.
Hiddleston isn’t the only actor to be paying tribute to Pinter, as EastEnders star Danny Dyer takes a break from the soap to feature in a theatre production alongside Martin Freeman.
