The housewives’ favourite has banned the audience at his upcoming Coming Home To You tour from pelting him with their pants after getting whacked in the eye by a pair of briefs.
“I have had women throwing their underwear at me but one nearly had my eye out so they are banned now. No pants.”
Michael, 56, reveals that his partner of 29 years, Cathy McGowan, can’t quite understand the adulation.
“My wife doesn’t believe that I’m a ‘sex symbol’,” he huffs. “I think she finds it very funny.
“She says, ‘They wouldn’t be saying that if they saw you in your pants.’”
Meanwhile, Michael has recorded a cover of Watership Down theme song Bright Eyes on his new album in tribute to his dogs, Ollie and Freddie.

The two Tibetan terriers passed away within 18 months.
“It’s devastating,” he says. “One was 15 and one was 12 and they were good ages, but they were with us for so long they were like family.
“I’ve always said I would record Bright Eyes for them. So I’m doing that.
“We have two other Tibetan terriers, Donnie and Dylan, the most gorgeous things. They don’t ever replace but the atmosphere changes.
“They are both adorable and get on brilliantly.”
