Selena Gomez has spoken candidly about body image, revealing she feels "insecure all the time".
The pop star, who has recently taken some time out of the spotlight, spoke to Elle Magazine for the launch of her new activewear collection, Strong Girl. in collaboration with Puma.
She said: "I get really insecure sometimes, I go through weird ups and downs, but in general I just want people to wear what they feel comfortable in.
"My assistant, she’ll wear workout clothes everyday. But she doesn’t work out. It’s just become a lifestyle, and she loves it."

The star went on: "She loves how she feels and she loves how she wears it, and I mean, that’s what I want everybody to feel. She’s inspired me a lot too."
It comes after it was revealed the pop star was reportedly seeking treatment at a mental health facility after suffering an emotional break down.
The singer had recently been hospitalised in Los Angeles due to medical issues relating to a low white blood cell count stemming from the kidney transplant she underwent last year.
She was discharged, but ended up back in hospital a second time after her white blood cell count didn’t improve.

The trips to the hospital and her ill health reportedly left the star in a ‘downward emotional spiral,’ and sparked a number of panic attacks, TMZ reported.
A source told People at the time: “She has had a tough few weeks and the panic attack in the hospital was the tipping point.
“She realised she needed to seek additional help for her ongoing emotional issues. She’s surrounded by close family and has a lot of support. She’s doing better now and is seeking treatment on the East Coast.”
Selena, whose ex Justin Bieber recently married Hailey Baldwin, has been very open about her battle with depression and anxiety in the past, and at the end of September she she announced she was taking a break from social media.
The singer steps out in Studio City

"Kindness and encouragement only for a bit! Just remember – negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings. Obvi."
She also did an Instagram live with her fans where she said she had been battling depression for five years.
Fans soon rallied around the pop star as they flocked to social media to wish her well.
