Parents have taken to social media to kiss their children on the lips in solidarity with David Beckham.
The former footballer shared a shot of himself and his seven-year-old kissing by an ice rink in London as they enjoyed some quality daddy-daughter time.
But some fans were outraged, branding the peck ‘disgusting’ and ‘inappropriate’.
The innocent selfie has caused national debate and even Piers Morgan blasted "creepy" David for giving his daughter a peck on the mouth .
But after the outcry, mums and dads have taken to social media in their droves to show their solidarity with the Beckhams.

Frankie Bridge shared a video of kissing one of her sons
Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge shared a video of herself kissing one of her sons with footballer Wayne, David’s former England teammate.
"I’ve always kissed my kids on the lips… and that will continue until they naturally don’t want to… just like it naturally happened with me and my parents and there’s and so on and so on," she commented.
A mummy blogger wrote: "Anyone else think the drama surrounding @davidbeckham today is just an absolute joke?!
"I will kiss my little boy on the lips for as long as he kisses me back. So many trolls in the world… I have nothing but love for DB’s post, it’s just beautiful".
And it wasn’t just mums getting involved, one dad wrote: "I can’t believe there’s even so much as a quizzical eyebrow at David Beckham giving his little girl a kiss on the lips.
"But it does at least give me the opportunity to show Becks some solidarity, we probably don’t have that much in common normally."
Earlier this week, David divided fans with his show of affection for his daughter on Instagram.
"Why are they kissing on lips??!?!!" blasted one fan, while another troll commented, "I’m calling the police."
"I never let my dad kiss my lips is so disgusting. He kissed my face not my lips that not okay," added another, while one questioned, "Its really weird for me, is this English’s culture?!"

However, others jumped to his defence, insisting the kiss was a ‘beautiful’ thing and that anyone who thinks otherwise is dodgy in the head.
"There is literally nothing wrong with parents kissing their children on the lips… unless you have a sick twisted mind and can’t tell the difference between a peck on the lips, and what you do with you boyfriend or girlfriend," raged one.
"I love this. I think it’s really important for parents to be affectionate with their children. It makes for happy adults," added another, and a third echoed, "Nothing wrong with the affection shown between a father and daughter, or any parent and their child. NOTHING AT ALL!!"

"Lovely pic, ignore all the snowflake comments from those who were clearly deprived of a loving home. Seriously people you need help if you think this is wrong," agreed a fourth.
"It’s your baby girl… don’t let anyone tell you it’s seedy or not correct," yet another angry fan hit back.
"Get lost all you who think it’s not right – get a life leave others to live there’s as happy and content as they should be I will never ever understand this world the only thing wrong is to hurt children to destroy there innocence- lets just love and protect always."
