George Michael’s neighbours struggling to raise Christmas spirit after his death

George Michael ‘s tragic passing is still having a huge impact on his neighbours when it comes to raising Christmas spirit.

The Wham! star was found dead on Christmas Day in 2016.

And ever since then, residents have struggled to find the funds for the festive lights that bring a bit of sparkle to their streets.

An estate agent in Highgate, North London, is now hoping that other famous residents will chip in as George did for many years.

It costs £10,000 to install and take down the lights every year, and it’s hoped that some of the other celebrities living in the posh suburb, including Liam Gallagher, Jude Law, Kate Moss and Jamie Oliver, will help cover the cost.
