Coronation Street fans furious as Sally is sentenced to FOUR YEARS in jail

Coronation Street fans were left seething with rage this evening as innocent Sally Metcalfe was sentenced to four years in jail.

What made it even worse was that even husband Tim believed that she was lying about the affair.

Tim left the courtroom after her sentence was read out by the judge after Gina manipulated the situation in her favour by telling him she thought Sally DID have an affair.

Earlier this week, viewers were in uproar after innocent Sally was found guilty of fraud, money laundering and bribery in perhaps the most unfair soap trial since Deirdre Barlow’s.

On Monday, the former major of Weatherfield, played by Sally Dynevor, collapsed once the verdict was read out.

"No, no, no," her shocked husband Tim was heard muttering.

Sally’s daughter Sophie was seen crying as the judge told her that she would be taken back to jail while he considered her sentence.

Sally was in tears as she cried out: "I didn’t do it, I didn’t do it."

Another seethed: "Omg Sally has been sent to prison for a crime she did not do."

"FREE SALLY," another demanded.

This comes after Sally’s passionate plea about her innocence.

She told the jury: "I have never stolen any money. I have never had an affair. I love my husband. I would never cheat on him. He is everything to me!"
