We’ve got ourselves an early Christmas present from Netflix, with the announcement of new cast members joining the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
The supernatural drama from the makers of Riverdale instantly became a firm favourite with fans when it was released on Netflix earlier this year, who were worried they’d have to wait a whole year for the next instalment of the darkly funny supernatural show.
But we were surprised recently with the announcement that we’d be getting a Sabrina Christmas special in the form of A Midwinter’s Tale.
The episode will see The Church of Night celebrating the Winter Solstice – the longest night of the year – where families from all covens can be seen gathering around the Yule Fire, singing pagan carols and telling ghost stories.
But it seems we can expect a few visitors – some unwelcome – turning up to disrupt the oh so festive time.
And some of these visitors, it seems, will be sticking round for season 2.

First up is Adam Masters, who will be played by Buffy alumni Alexis Denisof.
It seems Miss Wardwell (Michelle Gomez) has had a boyfriend all along, he was just away overseas doing good, wholesome work with Physicians Without Frontiers.
Described as handsome and charming, Masters returns home to his fiancé Mary- completely unaware she has been taken over by the demoness Madam Satan. Awkward.

Another new face joining the cast is Jedidiah Goodacre, who will be playing Dorian Gray – a warlock.
The owner of Dorian’s Gray Room, an exclusive nightclub, this enigmatic gentleman of an indeterminate age is very good at keeping secrets, especially his own – a cursed portrait he hides from prying eyes.
Goodacre has previously played Roman on CW’s The Originals, and Chad Charming in the Descendants.
As well as the introduction of new characters, it looks like we’ll be seeing some flashbacks of baby Sabrina in A Midwinter’s Tale, who will be played by McKenna Grace – who does look a lot like Sabrina actress, Kiernan Shipka.
According the the character bio, Sabrina was a precocious little thing – are we really all that surprised? – and she’ll be asking Santa for something special while The Church of Night celebrates the Solstice.
