At one point in the trailer, one of her backing dancers asks Ariana, "Why are you doing this project?" – to which she just laughs.

Ariana has had a tough 18 months, having been to therapy for the trauma of being targeted in the bombing.

She also lost her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller to a drugs overdose in the summer, having split from him earlier this year because she could no longer feel responsible for his drinking and addiction issues.

Since then, Ariana has met, got engaged to and split from the Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson, who she pays tribute to in a track of the same name on her album Sweetener.
