An ITV presenter has claimed that Ant McPartlin is still working on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here behind the scenes, despite taking a year off from hosting the show.
Emma Jesson, who is best known for forecasting the weather on ITV, took to Twitter on Wednesday to claim that Ant is still involved in scripting live TV links between Declan Donnelly and temporary replacement host Holly Willoughby.
“I am informed that Ant was consulted for scripted Holly & Dec links for @imacelebrity series 2018,” Emma tweeted.
“Top move production team if this is the case, can see his hallmarks there.”
A rep for ITV declined to comment on Ant’s involvement in the current series.

Most fans have praised Holly for seamlessly stepping into Ant’s shoes on the popular ITV reality show as he continues to focus on his recovery and health following a stint in rehab.
One viewer tweeted: “Holly Willoughby is a credit to herself. Can’t imagine #ImACeleb without her. Didn’t think it would be the same without Ant but @hollywills is the perfect person to present with Dec in Ants absence.”
Another wrote: “Petition for Holly to permenantly join Ant and Dec #imaceleb2018.”

While a third commented: “Don’t get me wrong I love ant and Dec together but Im absolutely loving Holly and Dec they’re hilarious.”
Back in August, Ant confirmed that he would not be hosting this year’s edition of I’m A Celebrity.
Earlier in the year, he received a 20-month driving ban and was fined £86,000 after pleading guilty to driving whilst more than twice over the legal limit.
In a statement, he said: “My recovery is going very well and for that to continue having spoken to Dec and ITV, I have made the decision to take the rest of the year off.

“I’d like to thank both Dec and ITV for their continued support and I look forward to getting back to work in the new year.”
Meanwhile, Dec added: “Whilst I am obviously sad at the thought of being without my best friend in Australia this year, I am proud of the work Ant has been doing privately and I am fully supportive of his decision.
“I’m looking forward to us both being reunited on screen in 2019.”
