Strictly Come Dancing’s Ashley Roberts has admitted that she was shocked she landed in the dance-off.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer, 37, faced Graeme Swann after coming bottom of the public vote.
This is despite receiving a 10 for her Samba and coming top of the Lindy Hop-a-thon.
Appearing on spin-off show It Takes Two today, she said: "It was a shock but you just never know and that’s the name of the game… when it went red I looked at Pasha and said ‘let’s do this buddy’."
However she insisted that she was "very appreciative" that the judges had chosen them, adding: "We went out there and tried to give it our all."

Pasha insisted that he wasn’t surprised and said he knew it was coming: "In every series I’ve been in I’ve never escaped the dance off."
This comes after Graeme said that he had little to no hope of the judges choosing to save him over Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev.
The cricketer and pro partner Oti Mabuse just missed out on the quarter-finals after losing to Ashley and Pasha in the dance-off.
But Graeme said that once learning who they were in the dance-off with, he knew that Ashley would have had to have "fallen over" for the judges to save him.
Appearing on It Takes Two today, Graeme joked that the show was "not worth watching" now that he was not in it.
"No, I thought I got as far as I could have," he added. "I loved Saturday’s show – it was an absolute hoot."

Speaking to host Zoe Ball, he said: "I thought I could beat anyone in a dance off and then they said ‘Ashley and Pasha!’ – and then I said ‘They’re going to have to fall over!’ and she said, ‘They’re going to have to fall over twice!’."
While he admitted that his time to leave the competition, Graeme said that he had felt "flat" yesterday after they were booted out.

"I felt so flat because I wasn’t going to spend another morning with Oti," he said. "She has the most wicked sense of humour."
Asked whether he had learnt anything about himself, he said: "I’ve learnt I’m an emotional rollercoaster… I didn’t think it was so hard being away from the wife and kids.
"On Wednesdays she would have to pick me up because I would be in a puddle of tears on the floor."
