Graeme Swann’s Glitterball trophy dreams came a cropper this weekend when he slipped during his Quickstep.
The next day, the former English cricketer became the ninth celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing after facing Ashley Roberts in the dance off.
And appearing on last night’s It Takes Two, Graeme revealed the real reason he slipped up during the crucial weekend.
"At first I thought ‘I think I have just broken my ankle!’" he told Zoe Ball.
"Then I heard ‘just carry on!’"
Oti Mabuse agreed: “[I said] ‘I got you I got you! Carry on!”

And he explained that the costume department may be to blame for the error.
“Those shoes are really shiny they – really are!" he said.
“And because I’m not a dancer I put my heel down at the wrong angle – and nearly fell over.”
Graeme performed a Quickstep with Oti after almost going out in Blackpool, dressed as a sailor as he hoped to take the audience on a cruise to remember.
But sadly, his decision to make things a bit more serious didn’t go too well when he almost fell over during his dance.
And the judges noticed everything, with Bruno Tonioli joking that he looked like a "drunken sailor."
He said: "You definitely took us on a cruise to remember… it wasn’t always plain sailing, you hit a few rocks here and there.

"The drunken sailor section was perfect – the Quickstep still had a bit of a hangover…"
But Craig Revel Horwood was even more harsh, saying he looked like a dancing "scarecrow."
Graeme noticed it himself, saying he was enjoying the dance until he "nearly fell over," so will he be in the dance-off once again?
Lauren and AJ had a major mishap in rehearsal
Graeme is by no means the first Strictly contender to take a tumble this year. Lauren Steadman was nearly dropped by AJ Pritchard back in September, and professional Kevin Clifton had a minor spill during his dramatic entrance with Stacey Dooley in that same month.
And of course Bruno can hardly stay on his chair at the best of times.
Perhaps the most memorably Strictly fall, though, wasn’t even on the dancefloor.
Part-way through the 2016 semi-final Claudia and Tess tried to perform a short comedy ‘fishing rod’ skit but Claudia missed her footing and fell flat on her face.

At the time, Tess was introducing Oti Mabuse and Danny Mac , revealing they would be dancing next to a "lake."
Holding a rod, Claudia chipped in: "Yes and I’ve been fishing in it!"
Seconds later, Claudia stumbled and fell out of shot to the ground.
Neither of the pair could contain their laughter and the show was effectively brought to a halt until they could compose themselves.
