Russell Brand and wife Laura Gallagher stepped out in perfectly co-ordinated outfits for their first public appearance together since the birth of their new daughter.
The controversial comedian matched a black fitted blazer with leather trousers and a charcoal scarf while his fashion brand owner wife opted for a similar jacket and a black sparkly jumpsuit.
Russell accessorised his look with aviator shades, which together with his shaggy hair and beard gave him something of a Seventies revolutionary look.
The couple seemed delighted to be out together, and were probably appreciating a first evening off from childcare for a while. Russell and Laura also have a two-year-old, Mabel.

Russell appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain in September and said that the rigours of being a parent were turning his hair grey: “A lot of this greyness is being applied retrospectively, though some of it is as a result of having two daughters so it’s a combination.”
He went on to say that, however tiring it might be, he was enjoying fatherhood: “Do you know what, it’s bliss… Exhausting bliss. Shattering bliss. Knackering, beautiful, glorious bliss!”
Russell, 43, and Laura, 31, have been an item on and off since 2007 and married last year in a small intimate service at Remenham Church near their home in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
Laura, who is the sister of TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher and the daughter of top golfer Bernard Gallacher, started her fashion line – Joy Journal – when she was pregnant with Mabel.

She explains: “When I was pregnant I got terrible morning sickness. All day. Not just in the morning. I wanted to engage myself with creative, domestic projects as a distraction.
"I suppose I was nesting. I started to paint everything in sight and realised I had nothing to wear but drab workman’s overalls. I thought ‘I should be wearing something that feels a bit more joyful’."

Consequently she started a business selling stylish dungarees.
Her outfit as she arrived for the British Curry Awards 2018, at London’s Battersea Evolution was a little less workaday than dungarees, but certainly shares a note of elegant practicality with the items she sells in her day job and she looked serene and contented on her ‘date night’ with her comedian husband.
Other notables who attended the awards which celebrate the country’s top chefs and Indian restaurants included the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and former England goalkeeper David Seaman.
Radio presenter and former politician Nigel Farage was also in attendance, and was loudly booed by the audience when he took to the stage.
