Dan Walker caused chaos on BBC Breakfast this morning when his disgusting habit was caught live on screen.
The presenter was caught red-handed flinging his old banana skin over his shoulder while his colleague Sally Nugent attempted to present the sports news.

Dan got caught on camera stuffing his breakfast into his face
She was cut short as a flash of yellow crossed the screen.

"Oh no!" Dan cringed as the camera panned round to show him scoffing the rest of his banana into his mouth.
"Yes. You did, you really did," Sally told him.
Laughing with embarrassment, Dan said:"Sorry about that, I didn’t get in your shot? I’m sorry. I’m not just chucking it away by the way, I’ll deal with it later."

But Sally called him out in front of millions of viewers as she reminded him that this was no one-off event.
"The floor behind the sofa is littered with banana skins!"
"I didn’t think I could get in your shot there," he said, desperately trying to save face.
"You do this every day! You’re desperate to get in the shot. Just give me a moment, OK? You sit there and eat your banana," she told him sternly.

Dan didn’t stop joking around even after getting told off by Sally
Dan then jokingly lifted up his Breakfast mug and held it in front of Sally’s face while she tried to continue her segment, making her stifle a giggle.
"Stop it, Walker," she ordered. "You wouldn’t mess with [rugby union coach] Andy Farrell if he was on this sofa, would you?"
Chastened, Dan said "never".
As Sally got through the rest of her news, Dan slowly lifted up his leg until his foot was also in shot.
"I’m going to have a word with my agent," Sally faux-raged.
"Was that your groin?" she added as her cheeky colleague winced in pain. "Good. Serves you right."
Naga Munchetty, who had left the set during the chaos, shook her head at Dan’s antics and advised Sally: "Confiscation works well."
