I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here fans were utterly ‘disgusted’ as they were forced to watch celebrities drink testicles, eat live insects and do other horrendous tasks.
The show’s live trials are iconic, as half the group are sent off on a quest while the others must bank as much time as possible to give them a fighting chance to complete their part of the trial.
But if the Bushtucker trials they have been doing in this series have grossed out viewers, it was nothing compared to what the live trials did, as viewers took to social media to share their shock.
First, in the X Factor style trial, Emily Atack and Malique Thompson Dqyer were put in perspex Xs, filled with ants which bit them as they tried to sing X Factor songs.

But sadly, the songs were further impeded by a weird contraption in their mouth, which looked akin to a torture device.
Following this, six of the group were forced to bite the HEAD off a witchety grub, spit it out, then eat the rest of the insect live, waiting for the person before them to finish before they had the chance to chow down.
Anne Hegerty took a little while to do this, as she took up her remaining 40 seconds to finish it off.
After this, they had to down drinks, with everything from pigs penis to turkey testicles up for grabs, but Anne redeemed herself by downing some blended fish eyes in a shocking moment.

Finally, Fleur East and Nick Knowles had to unlock an X while being covered by huge pythons, which slithered all over them.
Fans were shocked, with one saying: "Seriously disgusted @ITV showing biting heads of live insects in the name of ‘entertainment’. Insects have feelings and whoever decided this was ok, enjoy your next life as a dung beetle #ImACeleb"
Another added: "#ImACeleb l mean l know this show wants ratings, but have l missed something, the bush trials l’m a Celeb do, is going overboard, the trial when their mouth was open with all the bugs crawling around, tryin to quess the songs while the other contestants were singing, shocking"
A third added: "I’m sorry but that live trial wasn’t very fun to watch. Particularly the Emily and Malique bit. I don’t like seeing people in clear distress. You didn’t do very well #imaceleb"

Luckily for the group, they won the maximum amount of 85 minutes for John Barrowman, Rita Simons and James McVey to do their quest.
I’m A Celebrity continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
