While he seems to have been thriving in the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of here jungle camp, Harry Redknapp has made no secret of the fact that he sorely misses his wife Sandra.
It looks as if she won’t be missing her too much longer as it has just been revealed that his wife of 54 years is jetting out to Australia to join him.
Harry’s official Twitter account – which is being managed by someone else in his absence – first posted a cryptic clue with a photo of a pile of luggage and then a few hours later revealed the surprise: “You guessed right! Sandra is on her way to Australia!”
The news was broken via a short video on Twitter

This is the longest time that I’m A Celebrity breakout star Harry Redknapp, 71, has been away from his wife Sandra in over 50 years of marriage.
Harry is already the bookies’ favourite to be crowned King of the Jungle, there’s every chance that the romantic sight of the 71-year-old football manager being reunited with his soulmate will melt viewers’ hearts and make his coronation a certainty before the first eviction has even taken place.

Let’s hope Sandra recognises him. Harry’s lost a good deal of weight on the enforced rice and beans diet. The former football manager even made a quip during a task in which he and Noel Edmonds had to eat things like a sheep’s brain, saying it’s the most food he’d eaten all week.
The pair have barely spent a night apart in over 50 years of marriage

Harry has proved to be a huge hit with viewers, as he regales the ITV jungle camp with stories from his long career in football.
Harry sparked hilarity when he clumsily concealed a pilfered pillow under his t-shirt
He also became half of an unlikely double-act with TV legend, Noel Edmonds, after the pair lorded it over their fellow campmates in an exalted position for a number of days. he tried, light-heartedly, to maintain that position when Nick was elected to replace Noel as camp boss but it looks as if soon enough he will be reprising his longest-running and most cherished double act as Sandra joins him in Australia.
I’m A Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
