Ariana Grande was backed up by fellow singer Halsey as she begged her "sick" trolls for compassion.
The thank u, next hitmaker has had a tough time at the hands of internet trolls lately.
Following the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, Ariana was devastated by vile comments and slurs from people who blamed her.
The star later split with her fiancé Pete Davidson, and faced some backlash for the break up, including a public spat with him.
After a tough few months to round off an incredibly-difficult year for Ariana, she took to social media to beg for a bit of compassion.

Halsey backed her up
She wrote on Twitter: "some of the s**t i read on here makes me sick to my stomach. it scares me the way some people think and i don’t like this world a lot of the time. if only we could be more compassionate and gentle with one another. that’d be sick."
She added: "like f**k"
Ariana was immediately backed up by Bad At Love singer Halsey, who said: "ari the world could only dream of being as compassionate and gentle as you. and since ur being, as always, so classy and nice, allow me the honor of telling them to shut the f**k up."
Quoting her friend’s supportive tweet, Ariana added: "i love you very much"
Ariana recently entered into a Twitter spat with Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan.
They’ve had cross words before, when he slammed her for flying back to America following the terrorist attack on her Manchester concert last year.

This time, they ended up in a war of words after he went after Little Mix and Ariana backed them up.
Piers had criticised a nude image of the girl group, which had been intended to champion body positivity.
However, Piers accused them of using sex to sell records.
He also had a pop at Ellen DeGeneres, saying that he’d been criticised for commenting on Holly Willoughby’s legs while she got away with "drooling over famous men’s bodies".
Ariana’s mum Joan was first to have a go at Piers, saying: "Honestly what is wrong with you @piersmorgan? Didn’t your mother ever teach you, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it! You came for @TheEllenShow yesterday which was disgraceful, she is an angel. @LittleMix today, did you ever hear of paying homage? And..well never mind."

Piers recently had a spat with Ariana
She told him exactly what she thinks of him
He replied: "Hi Joan, my mother taught me to speak my mind & never be afraid to express honestly held opinion. Ellen’s a hypocrite – and as for Little Mix, I’d just prefer they use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity. As your own daughter does…!"
Ariana then got involved, saying: "Ellen is an incredible & kind human being.. I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because i choose to. women can be sexual AND talented. naked and dignified. it’s OUR choice. & we will keep fighting til people understand. i say this w all due respect but thank u, next."
Ariana also told the TV host: "also @piersmorgan, i look forward to the day you realize there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticize young, beautiful, successful women for everything do ti. i think that’ll be a beautiful thin for you and your career or what’s left of it"
