Boyzone’s Shane Lynch left TV viewers in Ireland shocked when he swore live on air on the Late Late Show.
The iconic boyband were appearing to promote their upcoming 25th anniversary tour, but things got very awkward at the start of the interview.
The segment kicked off with a live performance of their brand new single – but only Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham were actually there to perform it as Shane arrived late, RSVP Live reports.
Making it in time for the interview, Shane explained to host Ryan Tubridy he had a long day after filming in the UK and missing two flights back to Dublin.
Moving swiftly on, Ryan then showed the four lads an old clip of their first ever Late Late Show appearance – which consisted of them dancing flamboyantly in questionable outfits.
Host Ryan Tubridy got more than he bargained for when he screened the throwback clip
While the audience and viewers at home found it funny, Shane wasn’t best pleased – and shocked everyone by swearing live on air.
When Ryan asked what it was like seeing the throwback clip, Shane said after the day he had breaking his "b**locks", that they could shove the old clip up "your f***ing h*le."
"No. I don’t give a f**k," he said while putting up his middle finger to the camera.
Most of the band can look back on the clip that kickstarted their career fondly – but not Shane Lynch
Viewers were shocked by his language and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
"Talk about zero class there from Shane.. ," one viewer wrote.
"Stay classy Shane Lynch if it wasn’t for that clip you’d be nowhere," said another.
A third added: "Hardy Shane Lynch and his potty mouth".
The boys then performed their classic hit "Love Me For A Reason".
