Nick Knowles might be I’m A Celebrity’s heartthrob these days – but back in the day he was a dead ringer for Alan Partridge.
The DIY SOS presenter started out his career as a traffic reporter for a local news channel.
And as this incredible throw back proves, he was a dead ringer for Alan Partridge with his glossy hair and yellow waistcoat.
Appearing on Meridian Tonight, Nick is just like Steve Coogan’s cult character as he describes traffic problems on the M25.
"If you’re stuck in Cone City – that’s the Basingstoke ring road – it’s your own fault, you ought to know better by now," he quips.

He checks the travel news on his tiny computer
Checking his tiny computer he adds: "If you’re waiting for a loved one to come home along the M4 or the M25 you may as well give their dinner to the dog, they’re gonna be a long time."
He adds: "Cones have been sprouting on the M25, causing delays on the M4 where the motorways meet."

Giving top notch banter to his co-hosts, he said: "All flights at Heathrow are normal, but who’d like to be flying out to the Caribbean when you can be bathing in the warm smiles of Andy and Mai?"
The retro clip was filmed in January 1993 long before his debut on DIY SOS in 1999.
