Anne Hegerty has revealed the sad truth about her love life – and why she’s not found "The One."
There has been a lot of speculation about Anne’s love life so far, with the revelation that she is definitely not gay, despite a huge number of female admirers.
But in a frank conversation with John Barrowman, Anne let slip more about why she hasn’t found her perfect someone to settle down with.
The Chase star said, when asked if she has a partner: "No I don’t.

"When I was working out that I was autistic it clarified a lot of things for me and one of those things was ‘that’s why I never seem to be able to make it work.
"That’s why I always feel claustrophobic in a relationship. That’s why I kind of think that’s probably not intended for me.”
John continued, saying he’d heard she was a Doctor Who fan as he asked her who her favourite Doctor was.
Anne revealed that David Tennant was her favourite doctor, as he agreed and high fived her.

The revelation even brought John to tears as he said: "If you need a hand just holler and The Captain will come and help you."
The Governess said it was nice to be considered a ‘gay icon and a lesbian icon.’
Speaking previously about saucy messages she receives from fans, Anne told The Sun: "I have to say to them I’m very flattered, but at the same time your gaydar is broken.
"Quite often they say ‘yes I didn’t think you were, just thought I’d try my luck’," she revealed.

Anne added: “It does tend to be more women than men which feels a little weird, but you know, hey, any kind of attention’s nice.”
It has also been revealed that Anne has had a "secret US boyfriend," but she’s said she’s had enough of correcting people’s perceptions of her love life.
