John Barrowman battled eels, crocs and water dragons in a terrifying underwater task on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
After being chosen by the public to take on Bushtucker Trial Scary Rose, the Doctor Who and Arrow star was waved off by his campmates in the hope he’d bring back 10 stars.
While the actor admitted he was feeling the pressure, he was assured by Harry Redknapp: "If I was to put my money on anybody, John, you would be my man because you are a different class."
After heading down to the trial clearing to meet presenters Holly Willoughby and Dec Donnelly, John joked he’d have to remortgage his home to cover the cost of the votes his husband had cast.

John was plunged into the underwater wreckage
He was joined by a croc
John, 51, was shown the task, which comprised of a wrecked ship in a pool, which he had to dive into and explore to find the 10 available stars within the 10-minute time frame.
There were only two portholes in the ship, where John could go to catch his breath during the task.
The star was joined by 20 crocs, five water pythons, 10 water dragons, 40 large eels, 10 mud crabs and 90 yabbies as he frantically searched the shipwreck.
After battling the underwater beasts, including a huge water python that had wrapped itself around a rope that John had to untie to free a star, he triumphantly returned to land with all 10 stars.
He said: "I will admit that I was a little … it’s always scary when you do something like this because we’re not used to confined spaces.
He retrieved all 10 stars
But he tried to trick his campmates
"It’s not something I’d do by choice but I’d say, ‘Hey let’s go diving in a sunken ship with a bunch of animals and snakes’ … and you put a crocodile in. The eels – urgh. I don’t know how Harry is a fan of jellied eels. I just don’t like them."
As he made his way back to camp, John told the cameras: "I’ve been feeling very emotional over the past couple of days but today has lifted my spirits and I am so happy that I am bringing them home 10 stars."
Deciding to wind up his campmates, John walked into camp looking sad and pretending he hadn’t been successful, but former EastEnders star Rita Simons saw right through it, saying: "He’s acting."

He doesn’t understand why Harry likes jellied eels
John told everyone: "The Trial was tough. I arrived and there was a huge swimming pool with a ship in it. Inside there were eels, pythons, shrimp, crabs, all of that and I was hanging on the tank and they said, ‘Are you ready?’ and I said, ‘Ready’ and they said we’ve got a surprise for you and they put in a real large crocodile.
"It was just awful … But I got 10 stars!"
His campmates said they didn’t doubt him for a second.
