Susanna Reid has revealed how she bravely chased after a knife-wielding mugger after he slashed her bag.
Opening up for the first time about the “dangerous” assault, Susanna told her Good Morning Britain colleagues how she ran after her attacker.
The GMB hosts confessed she was “incandescent” with rage when the fiend cut her bag off her shoulder and tried to escape with her belongings.
Susanna admitted she was “protected by adrenalin” and forgot about her own safety during the historic attack in south London.
She revealed her own personal trauma during as footage emerged on social media of two officers in a violent struggle.

Speaking about her ordeal, Susanna said: "I got mugged once by a guy with a knife. My instinct was to rush after him. It was not rational and obviously it was dangerous. He got scared and dropped my bag."
Co-host Piers Morgan, who was shocked by the story, asked: "You ran after a knife-wielding mugger?"
Susanna continued: "He slashed my bag off me. He cut the bag off me and cut through my coat. I was incandescent."

Sat in disbelief, Piers claimed it was a "fantastic story" as he listened to Susanna’s mugging hell.
Susanna explained that she ran 100 yards after the mugger and managed to get some of her possessions back.
She added: "He ran up over a bridge. I followed him. I was absolutely furious. He was shaking out my bag on the top of the bridge and he ran off.
"I had cash in my bag, he took that. My bag was broken but I got my phone and keys. I was protected by my adrenalin."
