I’m A Celebrity star Harry Redknapp has admitted he had no idea who Princess Beatrice was when they met – after also revealing he mistook Prince Harry for a football player.
In scenes that aired on Monday night, the 71-year-old ex-Tottenham and West Ham manager was chatting to his fellow campmates about meeting the Queen’s granddaughter.
Harry told his fellow campmates: "I sit down facing this young girl, so we start chatting away. We get onto horse racing and she said, ‘Do you like horse racing, Harry?’
"And I said, ‘Oh, I love it. I was brought up with it, my nan was a street bookmaker. When I was a kid she used to take bets from all the old girls in our street…’

Beatrice told him her grandmother loved racing
"And I’m telling this girl the story and she’s laughing and said, ‘My grandmother loves racing. She loves it! Last year when she won the gold cup at Ascot…
"And I thought her nan must have a few quid! And she told me the horse and I thought ‘doesn’t the Queen own that horse?’"
Harry admitted that’s when it finally clicked – he was speaking with Princess Beatrice.

He continued: "When I went out, Jamie said, ‘You never had a clue who she was, did you?’
"And I said, ‘Not a clue!’"
He also amused his fellow campers by telling a story about not recognising Prince Harry when he said hello when their paths crossed at their physiotherapist’s office.

The football manager said he thought the royal might be a player and just acknowledged him with an "Alright mate" and carried on reading his paper.
"I thought, ‘I know him from somewhere, that geezer, did he used to play for me?’," he said.
He later asked someone who the man was and was told it was the Duke of Sussex.
Harry also drew laughs when he told the campers that his wife called him Mr Pastry, apparently after an accident-prone 50s TV character.
He said he "was a bloke who, if he had a job to do, would mess everything up".
"Harry Rednaps stories are what I watch this show for Mr Pastry," one person tweeted, while another quipped: "Harry rednapps wife calling him mr pastry because whenever he has a job he always messes it up. Is that what happened with birmingham city last year harry?"
Another person said he is "the gift that keeps on giving".
