Heather Locklear was placed on psychiatric hold on Sunday, according to US reports.
The troubled Melrose Place actress was reportedly at home when her therapist determined she was having another mental breakdown.
According to TMZ, someone called emergency services and she was taken to hospital.
The website says the call was placed as a health precaution – no crime was committed.

It would be the second time she’s been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold this year.
It comes after she recently completed a stint in rehab following two arrests – including an arrest for allegedly attacking a first responder – who is now suing her.
Jennifer Hayn-Hiton claims the actress became verbally and physically abusive, kicking her and causing injury.

TMZ, who obtained the legal documents earlier this month, also report Heather wished death on Jennifer’s kids.
Jennifer claims she couldn’t work as a result of her injuries and lost earnings as a result.

"This has taken a tremendous toll on our client and her children. When Ms. Locklear went to rehab, we had hoped that she would learn about making amends to those she had harmed," her lawyer told TMZ.
"We have reached out to her and she ignored us time and time again. It became apparent that Ms. Locklear wasn’t going to accept responsibility for her actions on her own."
Jennifer is asking for unspecified damages to cover her medical costs as well as pain and suffering and lost wages.
