He is best known for playing Jim Hopper in the hugely popular television series Stranger Things.
Now David Harbour has landed a new role which will see him star opposite Chris Hemsworth in the new Netflix action movie Dhaka, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie marks the directorial debut of Sam Hargrave, a stunt coordinator who has previously worked as a stunt double for Captain America actor Chris Evans.

According to Netflix, Dhaka is set in an underworld of weapon dealers and traffickers, where a young boy becomes a pawn in a war between notorious drug lords.
As kidnappers trap the boy inside one of the world’s most impenetrable cities, his plight attracts a skilled mercenary named Tyler Rake, played by Hemsworth. Rake is a broken man with nothing to lose who’s harboring a death wish that makes an already deadly mission even more appealing to him.

Filming for Dhaka is reportedly already underway, with India and Indonesia among the countries that are being used as the backdrop.
Harbour is expected to be on the set soon, according to Screen Rant.
The movie was written by Joe Russo, and is being produced by him and his brother Anthony Russo. They worked with Hemsworth and Hargrave when they helmed ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and two ‘Captain America’ films.

Harbour, 43, just wrapped up shooting for season three of Stranger Days.
He is also set to star in the Hellboy reboot, where he will be taking over the character played by Ron Perlman in the original Guillermo del Toro movies.
The plot in the new movie follows Hellboy as he battles with a medieval evil wizard who is hell-bent on destroying humankind. Milla Jovovich, 42, will star as the Blood Queen and Ian McShane, 75, as Professor Broom – the scientist who adopts the titular demon child – in the Neil Marshall-helmed movie.
The Hellboy reboot is scheduled to hit theaters April 12.
