Green Lantern Review

Don’t believe the hype. This movie is good. It isn’t the best movie you’ll see this summer, but for fuck sake it is entertaining. So what if it is stupid? What did everyone expect. The Dark Knight? That movie ain’t a “true” comic book movie, The Green Lantern is.

It was visually enjoyable and not boring at all. Was it as good as Thor? No, but it worked. It definitely succeed in everything it wanted to be. Yes, the subplot about him quitting The Green Lanterns was stupid, but who cares?

The plot is Hal (Ryan Reynolds) is chosen by galatic keepers of the peace to joing the Lanterns — well, not really chosen by them, but more chosen by “the ring’.

Whatever, they get to the point pretty quick. Ryan Reynolds is fine as Hal Jorden, playing essential the “Ryan Reynolds” character that he formed back in his pizza place sitcom.

The special effects are fun and satisfying. The actors and actresses are also satisfying. The movie is good…not much else to say.
