In probably the coolest move ever by any film studio Marvel Studios decided to make five or six multi-million dollar origin stories then pack them all into The Avengers. The lastest entry is Thor and this movie is looking to be super cool, but notice Chris Hemsworth’s (Thor) accent…is that Australian? WTF?

Don’t quote me on this, but I’d read that a big reason that Jon Favreau, the director of Iron Man, was not interested in directing The Avengers was because of Thor’s mythological powers.

This is indeed a problem.

Thor is descended from a race that was born with super natural gifts, while Iron Man’s, Captain America’s, and Hulk’s, powers have a logic to them. Right??? Well…..not really. I don’t think it matters at all.

If you’re Christopher Nolan making a dark, gritty, crime drama like Batman it does, but this is just good clean fun people. Get over it. He has powers.

When I was young, and still to this day, my brother and I scream Odin as and ode to the original Hulk series. I was lucky enough to dig up the clip for you kind people.

Hopefully this with inspire others to scream Odin as an exercise in the absurd. Anyway, this movie looks really fucking cool. I say fuck Favreau and embrace the fantasy of Thor’s powers. Moreover, for you people out there that love Mythology. I’ve read the Norse Mythologies (don’t ask why) and they’re fantastic. Run out and grab a copy and you’ll be floored.
