Take a look at the Real Steel Trailer starring Hugh Jackman

Not many movies get by me, but I have to admit I had no idea what the fuck Real Steel was when I clicked on the trailer. Something really odd I guess. Take a look at the trailer:

I don’t know about any of you out there, but I literally have no idea how this movie is going to be good or why Hugh Jackman, a star, would be in it. I love big action films with tons of special effects, but this just looks like a B-movie. Right? Am I wrong or is there a rich mythology behind the fighters that I don’t know about.

I checked out the Twilight Zone episode Steel which apparently the film is based from and really didn’t see anything promising. I disliked Transformers because the rich mythology and source material was raped by Michae Bay and could never get over it.

Maybe with a clear head and no preexisting audience this movie could just be campy fun.
